This policy explains what data Ojukaye collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it. We try to keep this plain-English.

What we collect

  • Account info: your username, email, hashed password, and (if you signed up with Google) the email address Google gives us.
  • Profile info: anything you choose to fill in — name, bio, profile photo, location, occupation.
  • Activity: posts you create, likes, comments, saves, and follows. This is public to logged-in users, same as most social platforms.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser user-agent, and session cookies. Used for security and to keep you logged in.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your personal data.
  • We don't share your email with advertisers.
  • We don't run third-party trackers on article pages.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies: one for login state, one for CSRF protection, and one for your theme preference. No advertising or analytics cookies.

Third parties

If you sign in with Google, Google processes your authentication — see Google's Privacy Policy. We also serve ad creatives from our own servers, not third-party ad networks.

Your rights

You can:

  • Edit or delete your profile info at any time.
  • Delete any post or comment you've made.
  • Request full account deletion by emailing help@ojukaye.com.
